Proverbs 9:6-8

⁶^[a]Forsake your simplicity and ^(A)live,
And ^(B)step into the way of understanding.”

⁷He who ^(C)disciplines a scoffer receives disgrace for himself,
And he who reproves a wicked man receives injury for himself.
⁸^(D)Do not reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you,
^(E)Reprove a wise man and he will love you.
